Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel

If you’re looking for something close to the Atlanta and Chattanooga areas, the Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino and Hotel is a great option.  It’s located in Murphy, North Carolina, and opened in September 2015.  It’s a sister property to the flagship Harrah’s Cherokee Resort about an hour’s drive to the west.  It’s about a two and a half hour drive from downtown Atlanta, or about two hours from Chattanooga.  The casino is smaller than Harrah’s Cherokee Resort – it’s only about 60,000 square feet.  However, it’s still got plenty of slots and an array of table games to let you try your luck.  If you’re staying awhile, the hotel has 300 rooms for your to recharge the gaming batteries.  Dining options range from casual and budget friendly options up to its featured restaurant, The Landing Cafe, with a slightly more elegant menu.
