Just across the North Carolina border in Danville, Virginia, Caesars Entertainment will break ground in December 2021 on Caesars Virginia, with an expected $500 million cost and featuring 500 hotel rooms, a full fledged casino, sportsbook, restaurants, a World Series of Poker Room and theater for live shows. The casino and resort are expected to open in late 2023.
Caesars Virginia will be a great option for those in the Raleigh-Durham Triangle area, with only an hour and twenty-minute drive to Danville. Folks living in the Greensboro and Piedmont Triad area can get to Danville in about an hour. No more having to drive out all the way to Western NC to try your luck at the slots or play a few hands at the tables!
