Two Kings Casino Opens All New Sportsbook

They wanted it open before NFL football started, and they just made it.  In a widely anticipated move, Two Kings Casino has opened its sportsbook.

The sportsbook has approximately 30 betting kiosks, and like the casino, it’s open 24/7.  Bets can be placed on a wide variety of sports, not just NFL football.  Make wagers on basketball, baseball, soccer, auto racing, and more.  You name it, you can probably bet on it.  While it’s not much of a splashy announcement, Two Kings Casino did post about the new sportsbook on its website.

Right now, Two Kings Casino is operating about 1,000 slot machines in temporary buildings off Interstate 85.  However, once construction is complete on its full casino and resort nearby, we expect a fully functioning, modern facility that’ll be a great place to watch some games, and make it more interesting with some wagering.

This gives North Carolina its third sportsbook, after two have opened at Harrah’s Cherokee and Harrah’s Cherokee River Valley in recent years.  While the NC legislature had a bill together to legalize sports gambling statewide, progress on the bill stalled over the summer.  Nothing is expected to pass in the foreseeable future.  So, for the time being, these sportsbooks won’t have to worry about a whole lot of competition getting in on the action.  We’ll set the line at 2 years from now.  Who’s taking the under on that one?
